  • The power of SMILE

    feeling young at 52

My earlier blog (re-post) was about Botox and Filler and not everyone was amused about the idea. I am not surprised nor I would disagree …its a matter of personal opinion and decision after all, Beauty is on the eyes of the beholder.

As a Cosmetic Dentist, I would also like to recommend routine oral prophylaxis (cleaning), bleaching (if needed) and porcelain laminates veneer to enhance and rejuvenate your smile.Well, with all the prices soaring high not everyone can afford that “Hollywood smile”. Nevertheless, maintaining a good Oral hygiene is a must for everyone!

However, If you really think about it, one of the natural anti-aging remedy is to SMILE.

Come on! try the power of smile…try! I mean now..while you’re reading this… from ear to ear, how do you feel? feeling good? yeah! if it feels good it must be good and real and keep it up because that’s the new anti aging remedy. Not expensive and very natural.

    http://www.skintreatmentguide.org/smile-anti-aging-remedies.html

One way of performing an anti aging skin treatment is by consuming foods that contain high fiber and wearing products that contain a high amount of antioxidant substances. This is true!, I’ve been using Vitamin C on my face every night  since i got Pearl laser and its improving a lot better.(my next topic)

a complete set of beautiful teeth will make you more younger looking

There is one other simple thing that can be used as an anti aging remedy — a smile. When we smile or laugh, the face conducts an active movement. Smiling or laughing can be called facial gymnastics. If we do intentionally smile or laugh when we see something funny, the movement of the facial muscles during smiling or laughing helps reduce wrinkles, lines and other aging symptoms.

icon smile Smile Anti Aging Remedies

Smiling requires less effort than frowning, it also requires less muscles …I would rather have wrinkle as a result of smiling than frowning!  Stress…stresss… everyday, the demand of work for working women are just enormous to handle , work home …clinic…home again. No helper..no helping husband huh! And for those who are staying at home , four corners of the wall with loads of laundry, cooking, cleaning..a never ending stories , husband comes home..where’s dinner? huh! get him out  and eat outside.. a family dinner for all. why not? If he is tired working outside..you’re also tired working inside your home.. you both deserves pampering at times. And if money is an issue, well you can set up dinner at home and let him wash the dishes hehehehe.

which one shows your smile more? eyes or mouth?

The easiest way to get old… is to take in all the stresses of everyday’s life specially women…we always worry about the future of our children…work load (either home or office) even the daily thought of preparing food, worries us and of course…husbands escapades. True or false? hmmmm don’t give me that look! I am pretty sure…you know what I mean!

Sophie Defensor -Victoria @ 49 yrs.old (full smile and pretty!)

Do you realize sometimes that when you look at the mirror, at times you are so pretty? (meaning happy life) but at times you’re so ugly? (meaning under stress).

Tips: when you wake up in the morning, look at  the mirror ,(don’t look at your snoring husband) 🙂 unless he is really that good-looking in bed lol! SMILE and say good morning to yourself. Just try…believe everyday that this day will be a better day than yesterday!

Don’t worry about dieting, enjoy the food but don’t forget to do your daily exercise. I rather be a chubby healthy (and look more younger) than a very skinny (and look older).

Do something that you enjoy doing, or try something different and discover the joy of learning new things. I recently learned how to play x-box kinect games, and had fun with my kids. At times, it’s good to do the things that young people do and laugh at your mistakes, it will surely make your day!

Don’t feel sorry about yourself if your husband/partner look at other woman, take it as a challenge, take it from Jinkee Pacquiao, instead of being depressed, she improves herself and she’s a winner! I don’t believe in married man who made excuses to have extra-marital relationship, (unfair!). Men who love to “drink” and sleep with prostitutes are more disgusting and degrading. I  also don’t believe in women who cried and pursue their man, this will just make them 10 years older! and when your old and ugly, you think he will come back? NO! or will you find another one? a double NOoooo… huh! they will all run away from you hahaha. 🙂

Remember,” Smile and the world will smile at you, cry and you will cry alone”

so, ladies keep on smiling ….Cheers! ^-^

  • When Ruby becomes Thursday with friends…

    Ruby Tuesday

It is always good to see old friends , not old beyond fifty, I mean friends that I haven’t seen for a while. We had late lunch at Ruby Tuesday in Thalia St. the ambiance is just perfect for us.

They have a lot of  good menu but we’re not interested actually of what are we going to eat, were just happy to see each other again, just us…, without a husband…though the 2kevs (my youngest and my friend’s son) tag along, they have their own table and world of their own (as usual).

We spent the afternoon, catching up of the past things and latest news that’s happening to our everyday’s life. Sophie is working in UK and comes back to Jeddah every six months to see her family and Jo and I are both  in Jeddah but she is busy with her kids and helping her husband to run their small business and me?I am busy with my world too (home-kids-clinic-home). Some of our friends are still on holiday, lucky them!

Friends makes your life better, especially  in this place, socialization is a key to make your day if not your week a pleasant experience.

Researchers are only now starting to pay attention to the importance of friendship and social networks in overall health. A 10-year Australian study found that older people with a large circle of friends were 22 percent less likely to die during the study period than those with fewer friends. A large 2007 study showed an increase of nearly 60 percent in the risk for obesityamong people whose friends gained weight. And last year, Harvard researchers reported that strong social ties could promote brain health as we age.

huh! research or no research, everyone knows how going out with friends relieves some of your stresses in life.

  • Got to honk! for women’s right

Where flowers bloom, so does hope

A lot of Buzz about Saudi women driving on June 17 (Friday), I am not sure exactly why this date was chosen or the significance attributed to it. People were asked to Honk for support. I believed a lot of expatriate’s women are waiting for this law to take effect, however, cautious they (and I) may be, driving is a long-awaited , one step forward to women’s right. Among others are … the rights to work which is already being implemented (mostly in education, health, and finance field), mechanism for marriage and divorce, protection from domestic abuse which is globally tackled in many ways.

Huh! Beautybeyond fifty at age 52 will start to drive in Saudi Arabia and a lot more who has been in this country for decades, can now put out their driving license in public, and in use hopefully. But this is not entirely a new thing, women in exclusive compounds can freely drive within and I also heard that in some rural areas, it’s common to see a woman in driving seat. So, what’s the big buzz if they allow them to drive freely in the city?  Isn’t it … they already have women pilot? Ironically, someone has to drives her to the airport , so she can fly the aircraft…strange but its true!  I guess not everyone is amused to the idea but for sure,  each has reasons, each has his/her own story to tell.

I remember when my first son, got his driving license in the Kingdom, he was not as excited as I  expected him to be, his comment? …this is not the right place to drive ( at least for the first timer like him); a lot of drivers are not polite and doesn’t follow traffic regulations especially during rush hours and Ramadan months. I definitely agree with his observation.  This is the place where accidents happened most of the time, not only two but more like of domino effect, most of the time. Even though, how careful and how defensive you are in driving, there are a lot of munchkins on the road, ready to eat you and forever honking, until you give him his way, not to mention, texting while driving and stopping at the middle of the road, just to say “hello” to someone he saw on the road, never mind if he is blocking your way.

What about those rude, smelly taxi drivers, whose eyes are on you… as if this is their first time to see a woman in their life and not only that, they will ask you” kabayan” filipina? kumusta ka maganda! the pedestrians are also the same, staring, wondering where are you going, where is your husband, where is your driver…annoying !

On the other hand, having to drive your own car is a right of every individual who loves life and freedom. Why I mentioned “love life”because if you love your life ,you drive safely to avoid mishap and “freedom”we should be given a free will to decide whether we like to drive or not.

Saudi Arabia is the only country that banned women to drive, if it is about Islamic law? what about the other Islamic country, why do they allow women to drive?

It’s a never-ending discussion, each one has it’s own defense, women’s rights is a global issues, discrimination happens but are  they doing something about it? Is there a Law against discrimination in the Kingdom?

Saudi women is still in guardianship..meaning they can not do anything even to travel outside without a male guardian. This is to protect family unity, family honor but what about expatriates? Women expatriates are not allowed to sponsor their husband either or even to invite them on visiting visa. If they value Family unity, it should apply to all expatriates alike who also has family of their own.

Two years ago , my husband had a visa problem and I was literally begging to everyone I know, who can help  him to stay with us  but to no avail, we have to follow the rules. Of course, you would think this is another issue… but for me this is also connected in a way, if Saudi women have no rights in their own country, how could we?

Beautybeyondfifty honks for Saudi Women… three honks for all Women!

  • Poison me… feel better…??? Journal (repost)

    Poison me…feel better…??? journal August 7,2010

    Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 5:03pm
    wrinkles

    Poison me…feel better…???
Mirror…mirror on the wall…Why do I have all this lines in my face? Well, my dear…this is the sign of aging process either within the norm or under stress. Every line represents your daily stresses in life…work…family…Husband/wife…children and money.

I have a patient today, her glabella (the space between eyebrows on the front) has a deep crease (wrinkle) that even she doesn’t make an effort to squint, it is still visible. Her husband is not happy that I will inject poison(?) on her face to erase that mark. The wife argues that she got her wrinkle from him and she claimed he is the poison in her life. Gosh!

Keep holding the mirror…I bet few would agree with her, lol!Why poison? What is Botox? • Botox® (Botulinum Toxin Type-A, Allergan, Inc., Irvine, CA) is supplied as a sterile, preservative-free, vacuum dried powder consisting of 100 units of Clostridium botulinum toxin, 0.5 mg human albumin, and 0.9 mg of sodium chloride.Botulinum toxin, a potent neurotoxin produced by Clostridium botulinum. Yes, the same bacterium that can cause food poisoning! Clostridium botulinum is a Gram-positive, rod-shaped bacterium that produces neurotoxins known as botulinum neurotoxins types A-G, which causes flaccid muscular paralysis seen in botulism, and is also the main paralytic agent in botox.

OMG! Your frown lines would not only disappear…hahahaha you will also disappear forever…lol!Kidding aside…Is there any danger of botulism from BOTOX Cosmetic™?

No. Given by a trained Doctor in the correct amount, there is no danger of botulism from BOTOX Cosmetic™. Botulism is caused by very large amounts of the toxin in the system usually from eating contaminated food. Very high doses, often 100 times more than would normally be used, would have to be injected to cause harm.

The dose is very minimal, very superficial like mosquito bites. The effect can be seen after 3- 4 days.
Botulinum toxin type A is purified into a protein that blocks the release of acetylcholine. The effects are 100% reversible but Botox® typically lasts for a few months. The effect of Botox® is to temporarily weaken overactive muscles.

Ladies and Gentlemen…Yes why not? Gentlemen…Having nice body and nice faces are not only for ladies…It’s also for men. Why men are so demanding that their ladies should maintain their figure and beauty? …While men can maintain their big tummy and wrinkles???? Why?? (This call for another blog lol!)

Now…grab your mirror again…what do you see? Any lines? Horizontal, vertical and diagonal …Hmmmm… a couple maybe! Hahahaha the more you look at the mirror the more prominent the lines are…
keep holding and look…just look at yourself without any emotions.
Nasolabial fold (line from the side of the nose to the corner of the mouth) this is “SMILE LINE” if this gets deeper than usual… you need derma filler (I will discuss later what the difference between a filler and Botox)…keep smiling… tell yourself… You’re beautiful!!… Indeed! Big Smile pls!
If you find your teeth darker than usual, consider cleaning, bleaching or veneer. If the alignment is not good, you have deep bite…then consider braces…if you have cavities, restore it and if your gum looks so reddish and puffy then you need to treat that first…If you have gummy smile, be happy…imagine yourself 10 years from now…it will just be fine. And if you don’t have budget…come on pat yourself at the back…everyone will grow old.:-) Why your lines get deeper? As I mentioned earlier on my previous notes, as we age, our skin sag, like it goes down vertically… now keep smiling… do you see a line at the corner of your eyes?Crow’s feet (tiny lines around the outer corner of the eyes that’s branch out) some people think its wrinkle and some people thinks its shows wisdom. Ahhhh…I rather show my knowledge and skills in actions not in wrinkle. Lol!Marionette lines ( lines from the corner of your mouth to jaw line)

Now, try to move your eyebrows up and down, try to look angry, in pain, worried and sad. What do you see? Lines..lines..lines… hahahahaha …I bet you want to buy a new mirror…be cool!

Glabella line (do you see number 11 in between your eyebrow, in the middle of your nose bridge?) how about horizontal lines across your forehead (Frontal lines)..

I bet… if you can see me now..you would tell me ..jamilamimi please stop, you’re not helping.. lol! this is the reality, whether you like it or not, we will have these  lines, remember, I am trying to explain this as simple as I can and as painless as I can….

next..do you really need to remove all these lines of aging?

    Poison me..Feel better( Part 3) journal August 9, 2010

    on Monday, August 9, 2010 at 9:05pm

Who wanted to be young and beautiful? Itaas ang mga paa!!! (put your feet up :-)) Hahahaha…Mirror, oh my mirror who are the fairest of them all… of course lahat kaming single ladies!
Scoop: Cosmetic Dentistry plus Botox cosmetic and derma filler…guaranteed to make you 10-15 years younger! What is the difference between Botox and derma filler?Botox cosmetic- works by relaxing the muscles, thus preventing wrinkles and smoothing out lines.
Botox is a safe-to-use bacterial toxin which, when injected into the facial muscles in minute quantities, relaxes the muscles and effectively improves the appearance of wrinkles that are caused by the movement of these muscles. Dermal fillers -Dermal fillers s(ie. restylane) are based on a degradable hyaluronic acid in the form of a clear gel. This gel is injected into the skin to create volume, smooth out wrinkles and restore fullness to lips. Due to its degradable nature, dermal fillers also need to be injected regularly.
Botox and dermal filler can be used together.I have seen patient who had botox and dermal filler in her lips done by dermatologist but her dentist didn’t do a good job on her teeth. It’s just depressing to even look at her mouth.I would suggest that before you do any rejuvenation procedure, check out your teeth first, then your gums and then your skin and if you need any enhancement, removing few lines then go ahead with botox or filler or a combination of both.
Don’t even attempt to change YOU… some people wants to erase all the lines in their face that they forget their neck…(though it can be treated now) and you can’t even know whether they are smiling or just being stoic .

And some wants to have Angelina Jolie lips, Marilyn Monroe eyebrow, Mix and match! it just doesn’t work most of the time.

To put volume on your lips (don’t use too much filler) but do your teeth first. Imagine yourself, with a pouty lips but when you smile..yakksss..the teeth looks horrible..it doesn’t make sense.

Your frontal lines and glabella lines are the easiest lines to remove but you still want people to recognize whether you are mad or not, so I suggest..don’t overdo it..

And you have to be very careful, botox can lift your eyebrow, if you don’t want your eyebrow lifted, just tell your doctor and if ever you ask for it, make sure it is balance on both sides.

Summary of therapeutic and cosmetic of Botox and derma filler:

-Blepharospasm (abdnormal twitching (winking) of eyelids)

-Cervical Dystonia (painful contraction of neck muscles)

-Hyperhydrosis of the axillae ( kili-kiling palaging pawis)

-TMD (Temporomandibular disorder) clenching teeth, grinding (bruxism)

-gummy smile (too much showing of the gum when in full smile)

    – Wrinkles, eyebrow lift

    – add volume to lips

Well ladies, are you still holding your mirror? If you’re happy on what you see, don’t think about it..
YOU are the most important…of what you feel about yourself, not your husband, not your friends but yourself.. If you can look at the mirror everyday and be satisfied of what you see…BE HAPPY!

If you still want to rejuvenate…be a better version of yourself!

    Cheers!

  • Letting go…no drama …only chopstix

One of the delights of Life is eating with your love ones.Food is our common ground. and one of our favorites past time in Jeddah is to dine and talk. We pray, eat and talk. This is the time that we are all at rest, savoring tasty food, got into discussion not argument and enjoy!

My eldest son , Edge finally said goodbye to Jeddah. We spent his last day in Chopstix, a chinese restaurant in La terra mall, amir sultan road.

    my love

At this time,”no diet” is out of our vocab

^-^, we just like to enjoy the moment that we’re together, sooner than I thought, Edge will be gone ,next year will be Kevs turn and I will be left all alone in this country. 😦

But, we don’ like drama…we move on quickly, life is too short to stay gloomy, sooner or later will be together again. I wish for you, my love is to reach the vertex of success. Keep focus to reach your goal, we will be your backbone and if at times, it’s so hard, don’t forget to ask HIM for guidance and HE will lead you the way.

Remember no matter how thin the chopsticks, how difficult to use,it can still pick up food, the analogy, no matter how narrow the road you can still pass and reach your destination.

    Cheers!

PS: if chopsticks doesn’t work, use spoon and fork (that’s ME and Kevs) and knife (that’s dad) 🙂

  • Saudi Arabia: Will the Saudi Women Drive on 17 June?

Saudi Arabia: Will the Saudi Women Drive on 17 June?.

My comment: would it be better to increase awareness on ” driving safely ” first rather argue who has the right to drive? a lot of reckless drivers out there that needs to be re-educated. Road would be safer regardless who and what genre is on wheels.

    1. Sandy, on June 7, 2011 at 8:34 am said:

      @jamilamimi,
No. It would not be better. They are two separate issues. For decades they have not bothered to address either. All they need do is enforce the laws. I am still at risk as a passenger because of the dangerous driving.

    2. Sandy, good comment.
Everybody always seems to forget that because women are not allowed to drive they are not on the roads. They are, only in the back of their car all alone with a foreign, often substandard novice driver male. I don’t see how that makes it safer for women.
On the contrary, I would say it triples the risks.

      My response:

Firstly, I am not against women driving, If this law will come into force certainly I will be the first one behind my new wheels but having said that, I will be very cautious about when is the right time.

Women driving and driving safely is a separate issues? It should be interrelated, If they are not bothered to address the issue how can you be sure  of your safety on the roads?

Women are always on the road, no one forgets that! “ Foreign, novice often substandard driver male” why hire them? or why not educate them? How many driving schools are there in Saudi Arabia? Are there any driving instructors who uses   English or other foreign language as a medium of instructions? why use foreign? What ever nationality or genre or age maybe, at the end of the day, one should drive safely!

Without any doubt, women can drive safely as other men do! They take care of their children make them safe at all times, with an exception of course, for those who entirely dependent on their nanny, who will take the children to school then? the nannies or the mother? This will saves one’s pocket of hiring one against two” a driver nanny” .

“Teach me how to drive, so I can protect myself” in Facebook,( the original page of Manal sharif was missing) ,I admire their courage to defy the law, to speak out and fight for their right. We support Responsibly…Equal Rights for both Men and Women.

  • Celebrating 56 at Bamboo Seafood Resto

    Bamboo Seafood Restaurant

May 27, 2011, is my favorite brother’s b-day. We celebrated his 56th year in Bamboo seafood restaurant in Al Rawdah district Jeddah,KSA. We been passing in this area a thousand times, wondering what’s in this huge lobster building?I was not able to taste the lobster in Boston ,Ma., so i said this is it!

Lobster in Jeddah. whoah! the price is soaring high! probably,I may have indigestion at the end. So we discarded the idea!

    great interior…refreshing too!

The place is cozy, the walls are decorated with bamboo, there’s privacy in each family , each partition  separated by real bamboo decor, though i was asking… a grape fruit on bamboo? hmmm, the sounds of water from the man-made waterfalls makes the place more refreshing, the waiters are polite and has smiling faces.

    the staff at Bamboo

The foods are not bad, it taste good but the service is slow.

It might be because …its Friday, the place is packed with families.

Some tips… when they serve the appetizer make sure you order your main dish already and

when the main dish just serve, ask for your bill too 🙂 otherwise the waiting period is so long, unless you just want to hang around.

Oh well, it’s a great Friday with my sons, brothers, nephew and his wife.

    Happy b-day Kel,

    WE LOVE YOU!

  • Chill : Hop on…Hop off… Boston Tour (part 4)

    Boston harbor

Eventually towards the end of my educational trip the sun rises up only to be gloomy again at the middle of the day but I was adamant to go on tour, period! Boston Duck Tour (one vehicle for land and water)… great value, but I choose the two-way vehicle instead. The hop on…hop off trolley with a free Boston Harbor cruiseand a two-day pass at your own pace.

    Boston duck tour

I only have a day and two hours before going back to reality 😦  🙂 …sunny and chilly at 9 in the morning, with a map and camera (tourist) hops on the bus, sit back and relax!

There are 18 stops around Boston, the best thing about this tour is the history itself, and the bus drivers are great as story tellers or should I say a historian with a twist of their own wit and ideas to entertain visitors.

Have you heard about the Boston accent? The dropping of “r” and the broad “a”, so let’s call our historian as Cristian.

    cristian: everyone says Ba

    tourist: Ba

cristian: no no not ba in ba ba black sheep.. says ba as baaaa

    tourist: (laughing)  baaa

tourist: yeah lets hav a dink n a baa’

cristian: now let me tell you about the swan quack!

tourist: now wha? quaack quaaack! (Laughing loud)

while we were passing by the Boston common and public garden, he took out an all time children’s favorite book ” Make Way for ducklings” a story  of a pair  mallard ducks who decide to raise eight ducks named jack, mack, nack in Boston public garden (well beautytbeyondfifty forget again),I’m sure there’s a name “quack”.

    Marriott Long Wharf

I went down to take the Harbor cruise, too chilly in the morning, passed by Dunkin doughnuts (every corner on our way), I was thinking hmmm lunch at the famous Long Warf? Nah… not fun being alone, so I discarded the idea.

After the cruise, first stop is New England Aquarium and Faneuil Hall Market place. This is where I had lunch inside the

    Quincy market

Quincy Market, a melting pot of homemade delicacy, a lot of food to choose from and I cannot decide which one, too crowded! Though it’s a two-story rotunda, it’s hard to find a place to sit. Outside was also bars and different restaurant (casual and upscale dine in) like Cheers(remember the popular 1980s TV sitcom?), steak house, Italians resto and a lot more. Surrounded by gift shops and pushcart stalls, street performers, you can actually sit anywhere and have lunch and watch the show. A whole day of entertainment! Certainly enjoyable!

    Trinity Church

    Another stop is Copley Square,

    Copley Place

again a lot of shopping and dining choices, a temptation to unfold, look for a millionaire, marry in Trinity Church( an impressive dark multi-hewed stone and glass window ) giving me goose bump when I got in.

    Honeymoon in

    interior of Trinity Church

Fairmont Copley Plaza then off to Copley Place shopping Galleries where you can find an all original signature items. Hop in to Symphony Hall, get in to Jillians Boston, watch a game in Fenway Park, go to Imax theater, comedy bar or to Museum

or to garden park and finished off  Whale watching , live in Commonwealth Avenue where you find brownstone home ornamented with flowers and trees, study in MIT or Harvard  Opppps where I am?

Pinch me! Alright I was day dreaming, time to hop off.

    Cheers ladies!

    Cheers

  • Hot to breeze to chill: Boston, Massachusetts (part 3)

    view from skywalk observatory
    Boston Harbor

From Atlanta to New York, the weather is not forgiving, My flight was delayed for 45 minutes due to heavy rains, I wonder, why oh why I brought my spring clothes instead of winter clothes! And why do I have to travel always in last minute? I have a meeting to catch at 1 in the afternoon and its 11 in the morning and I am still here in New York.

Atlanta to New York is 2 hrs and 10 min flight and from New York to Boston is 1hr and 15 min flight. Ahh, after so many trips. I still don’t get used to the fact that I came from Saudi Arabia, land of the desert and camels where life stands still five times a day though I live in Jeddah which is more tolerant and cosmopolitan than other cities in Saudi Arabia.Confused? me too!

    inside Quincy market

I arrived in Boston with more heavy rain which is predicted to last for a week, Great! From hot and dry… to breeze  and showers… to chill and wet! Yey! Got an excuse for shopping clothes…. ha  ha ha oh well, my hands are tied or should I say I am on continuing educational trip ( which mean…on budget) Do you know how much to attend a dental workshop like this? the first course in Atlanta was US$ 2598 and the 2nd here in Boston, US$1550, plus ..plus..the ticket and hotel accommodation, all these expenses for the sake of giving the most updated, skillfully done Cosmetic Dentistry!

AACD members inside the Hynes' convention Center

Would it be safe to say ; as technology advances, Dentistry advances too… rather than… we (fifty and above) have to keep up with the ever-changing trend and innovation…Young and old has to keep learning and collaborate to give  and share the knowledge and skills for a better oral health of the public. Beautybeyond fifty getting serious 🙂 let’s go back to my escapades.

    Massachusetts State House

Boston is the capital and largest city of Massachusetts, the buildings are made of brick and brown stones which gives a more historical essence, the streets are clean, garden and parks are big and green. My room in Sheraton was on the 20th floor overlooking the Back bay view of the city, I can see the roof top of each buildings which were all amazingly clean.

My attention is divided into the great dental workshops and to the beautiful city itself. Every day I just  wished that the rain goes away and comes back again when I’m gone :-). I attended the welcome reception in Jillian’s Boston (near Fenway Park), a social night for about 2,000 dental professionals around the world. We dine, dance and drink. I asked the bartender ” do you have anything without alcohol?: she smiled at me “MINOR’? 🙂 you bet! never had a drink in my golden years! laugh, I know your eyes are wide open, huh!

    sky view of greater Boston

Every morning I waited for the sun to rise, the third day, I got a glimpse of sun and hurried up to Sky walk observatory (50th floor of Prudential center) which is just adjacent to the Sheraton Hotel. A spectacular 360 degree views of greater Boston. Oh! Got a bit dizzy up there (good excuse for the outcome of my photos) but not bad as an amateur photographer. What do you think?

    Fenway park

If my boys (husband and sons) were with me, we will surely not missed the most awaited game event, Red Sox vs. Cubs at Fenway park, they all love baseball! Towards the end of the week, the sun shines a bit so I did have a time to tour around the city, next blog  please! The Boston Duck tour!
